Junior Edition​

Welcome to the BDF Junior Edition — a celebration of our next generation of dancers! This special part of the Baltimore Dance Festival is designed exclusively for youth to learn, be inspired, connect, and dance in a fun, safe, and empowering environment.​

From workshops to socials and competitions, the Junior Edition brings a full weekend of excitement and creativity for young dancers:​

Friday – NextGen Only Workshops​
Two interactive workshops led by an amazing instructor— designed to help youth grow in confidence, rhythm, and expression.​

Saturday & Sunday – Youth Day Social + Dance Challenges​
A daytime social just for youth, featuring their own DJ, fun dance challenges, and new friends! Afterward, explore the city with your group — choose your own adventure with local attractions like the Maryland Science Center or the National Aquarium, and Raven stadium tours all within walking distance of the hotel.​

Sunday – Competitions & Performances​
Watch the energy of live performances — or join in! Youth participants can compete or cheer on their peers, surrounded by the full excitement of the festival.​

The Junior Edition also includes access to all main festival events, so young dancers can experience the best of both worlds — the magic of the main stage and the comfort of a youth-focused program.​

All kids under 12 enjoy free access to all BDF Junior Edition events!​
(Competition entries require a separate fee for all ages.)​
